What on earth is a Jessner's Peel and who are they for?
Jessner's solution is a combination of three chemicals that mixed together are applied the the skin: resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. A Jessner's Peel is a superficial to medium chemical peel which means that will help to exfoliate the topical layers of skin.
Jessner's Peel is great for people (both men and women) with acne, thick skin, skin discoloration, moderate wrinkles, fine lines, uneven skin tones, and oily skin. It can help to greatly improve your complexion, and reduce your pore size. Depending on your condition, a Jessner's Peel can also be used to treat Melasma.
Depending on what your desired results are, your skincare specialist will apply 1 to 5 coats of the Jessner's solution. A white frost will appear on the skin, but will disappear within one to two hours (+/-). After the treatment, your skin will peel for about a week afterwards.
Please note that a Jessner's Peel is not for everyone including: those with broken skin or any current skin lesions or open wounds, and anyone that has taken Accutane within the last 6 months. Please refrain from using Retinol products / Vitamin A products at least a week prior to receiving a Jessner's Peel.
